 Overview: School of Digital Commerce


To train more skilled talents of digital commerce technology as required by the rapid development of the digital economy and build a high-level specialty group associated with digital commerce, the original School of Information Services was transformed and upgraded to the Scholl of Digital Commerce.

Up to now, the School has set up eight majors including Electronic Commerce, Business Data Analysis and Application, Logistics Management (Logistics Information Technology), Marketing (Data Marketing), Accounting (Digital Management Accounting), International Business (Cross-border E-commerce), Economic Information Management, in which the major of Electronic Commerce is listed as one of the key programs of key colleges in Jiangsu Province. Now the number of faculties in the School is 53 in total, including 4 professors, 14 associate professors and 3 doctors. All full-time teachers have obtained master's degrees or above, and 90% of them have professional qualifications in serving as information system project managers, credit managers and e-commerce engineers. There are nearly 2,000 full-time students in the School, and another over 100 students receiving undergraduate education at Nanjing University. In general, the students have won more than 200 first and second prizes in national and provincial competitions such as the National Vocational Students Skills Competition, “Bodao Qiancheng Cup” National E-commerce Operational Skill Competition, “Hengxin Cup” National Tax Skills Competition (Vocational Group), “Chijun Cup” National E-commerce Technology Skills Competition for Higher Vocational Colleges, etc. The graduate employment rate of the School is maintained above 98%, with many graduates taking key technical posts in Amazon, Alibaba, JD.com, Suning and other enterprises well-known at home and abroad.

Relying on the Jiangsu Provincial Information Public Service Platform for SMEs, the NJCIT·Alibaba Digital Commerce School, the Digital Commerce Innovation Workshop, and other platforms for industry-education integration and entrepreneurship and innovation, the School has established close cooperative relations with leading enterprises such as Alibaba, JD.com, Suning, China Comservice, China Post, Burgeon Software to jointly train students, carry out vocational certification training and social-technical service training.
