On the afternoon of December 18, the Seminar on Industry-Education Integration Empowering High-Quality Development of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing & 2024 School-Enterprise Annual Meeting was held in the Zhifang Building, Room C306, with the theme Gathering Strength from Government, Enterprises, Industries, and Schools, and Fostering New Talent through Industry-Education Integration.
Xu Lingling, Deputy Director of the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone; Huang Aili, Deputy General Manager of Suzhou Wujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone Talent Group; Qian Xiaohua, Deputy Director of Changzhou Wujin District Employment Service Center; Shi Lijun, Director of Human Resources and Social Security Service Center of Changshu Economic Development Zone; Zhang Minsan, Dean of BOZHON Academy, BOZHON Precision Industry Technology; along with representatives from enterprises and parks such as Estun Automation, Shanghai Precision Measurement Semiconductor Technology, Shanghai Aomai Electrical, Jiangsu Likuang Intelligent Technology, Well Trust Precision, Suzhou Lvkon Transmission Technology, Junling Electronics (Suzhou), Jiangsu Chuangyuan Electronics, and Changshu GDS FSMS Data Technology, were invited to attend the meeting. President Tian Min, Vice President Sun Gang, Li Hongchang, Director of the Employment Division of the Department of Industry-Education Integrated Development, members of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, and program leaders attended the meeting, which was chaired by Wang Congrong, Secretary of the General CPC Branch of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing.
First, President Tian, on behalf of NJCIT, extended a warm welcome to the experts for the visit to provide guidance. He introduced NJCIT's unique specialties, ideas on industry-education integration, and the collaborative education model between the school and enterprises concerning NJCIT's history, educational operations, and future development direction. He emphasized that NJCIT focuses on the 1650 industrial system, insisting on deepening cooperation between NJCIT's advantageous majors and leading enterprises in related fields to create an innovative service platform. NJCIT is implementing specialized training for field application engineers, accelerating the implementation of modern vocational education system construction requirements, and promoting the deep integration of the talent chain, education chain, industry chain, and innovation chain. Through the organization of the seminar, he hopes to further strengthen the close ties and integrated development between NJCIT, industry, park, and enterprises, collectively composing a new chapter.
The participants jointly witnessed the unveiling ceremony of Jiangsu Province's first batch of modern industrial colleges and field application engineer colleges in parks and visited the demonstration area showcasing the collaborative research results of the school-enterprise cooperation at the NJCIT-Likuang Digitalization Regional Service Demonstration Center.
At the meeting, Dean Wang Chunfeng gave a presentation titled Digital Integration Promotes the Synergy Between Talent Cultivation in Intelligent Equipment and Industrial Development. He introduced the participants to the recent developments and future plans of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing in four areas: an overview of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, school-enterprise cooperation, the education model, and prospects.
Dean Zhang Minsan, the corporate representative, delivered a report titled The Urgency of Field Application Engineers from an Enterprise Perspective. He believed that with the rapid development of technology, what enterprises currently need is talent, not manpower. The characteristics of high precision, high reliability, and high efficiency in future equipment manufacturing determine that the technical skill requirements for practitioners will increase significantly. From the perspective of enterprises, there is a hope that NJCIT will cultivate skilled technical talents based on these needs, combining enterprise requirements, school advantages, and government promotion to achieve a seamless connection between enterprise demands and talent supply.
Director Li Hongchang presented certificates of corporate scholarship donations to representatives from Well Trust Precision, Suzhou Lvkon Transmission Technology, and Junling Electronics (Suzhou), and expressed gratitude for their concern and support for the education sector. Dean Wang Chunfeng presented letters of appointment to the corporate mentor representatives.
Subsequently, the participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on the industry-education integration in nurturing talent. They offered valuable suggestions on promoting the alignment of professional clusters with industrial clusters, aligning teaching content with actual enterprise production, cultivating talent with digital skills, and developing international talent through government-school-enterprise cooperation, and expressed a willingness to further deepen cooperation.
Vice Principal Sun Gang expressed gratitude to the attending leaders and experts for their continued support of NJCIT's work and stated that the industry-education integration is an important component of the New Double High-Level strategy. This integration involves bringing vocational education closer to industry needs through school-enterprise cooperation, internships, and practical training. The development of field application engineers relies on deep corporate involvement, requiring the combined efforts of all parties to collaboratively advance and implement these initiatives. NJCIT will further deepen its cooperation with enterprises and industrial parks, making every effort to promote thorough and practical industry-education integration.
The School of Intelligent Manufacturing will use this seminar as an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation among government, enterprises, industries, and schools. Focusing on the fields of industrial robots and high-end equipment, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing aims to optimize the talent cultivation model and strive tirelessly to cultivate high-quality technical skills talents serving the industry and local development and possessing a craftsman spirit, technical skills, teamwork skills, and innovative abilities.
