President Tian Min Invited to the Academic Annual Meeting of the 12th Jiangsu-Taiwan Higher Vocational Education Presidents' Joint Conference

The 12th Jiangsu-Taiwan Higher Vocational Education Presidents' Joint Conference was held in Huai'an from December 12 to 14. Deputy Director Zheng Xing of the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Office of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Deputy Mayor Wang Xianghong of Huai'an Municipal People's Government, and other leaders and guests attended the conference. Nearly 30 guests from various institutions in Taiwan, including the Association of Private Universities and Colleges of Technology and Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, attended the conference.

President Tian Min was invited to the conference and delivered a keynote speech on Building a 'Five Golden' New Infrastructure and Enhancing Internal Strength for High-Quality Development. In his speech, he emphasized the creation of an industry-education integration ecosystem to bring fresh vitality to the Five Golden construction. Intending to serve the regional digital industry development and focusing on the establishment of an AI-based major cluster, we aim to develop a digitalized golden curriculum for positions, multi-form golden teaching materials with school-enterprise collaboration, structured golden teaching staff with high skills, and virtualized golden base with real-life scenarios to train intelligent craftsmen for the new era.

The theme of this academic meeting is Enhancement, Integration, Advancement — AI and Vocational Education Reform. It focuses on accelerating the exploration of deeply integrating AI concepts, knowledge, methods, and technologies into the development of higher vocational education specialties. The annual meeting aims to promote reforms and innovations in curriculum materials, training methods, internships and practical work, teaching management, and evaluation mechanisms, and to creatively develop an AI+ education system and reform model.

It was reported that this annual meeting was guided by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. It was sponsored by the Higher Vocational Education Research Committee of the Jiangsu Association for Higher Education, the Jiangsu-Taiwan Higher Vocational Education Presidents' Joint Conference, and the Association of Private Universities and Colleges of Technology, organized by Jiangsu Food and Pharmaceutical Science College, and co-organized by Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Commerce and Lunghwa University of Science and Technology. Over 100 representatives from nearly 40 vocational colleges in Jiangsu and experts and scholars from nearly 20 technological universities and associations in the Taiwan region attended the annual meeting. The Academic Annual Meeting of the 12th Jiangsu-Taiwan Higher Vocational Education Presidents' Joint Conference was jointly initiated and established by Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Commerce and Lunghwa University of Science and Technology in 2013, providing an important platform for exchange and cooperation between institutions in Jiangsu and the Taiwan region and playing a significant role in innovating cooperation models, jointly enhancing the quality of education, and developing high-quality vocational education.
