On December 6, 2024, the Communication Sub-committee of the Vocational Education Steering Committee of Industry and Information Technology successfully held the 2024 Annual Meeting of Heads of Information and Communication Departments of National Vocational Colleges in Wuhan with the theme of exploring new measures for the integration of information and communication industry and education and building a new pattern of innovative development of new quality talent. Du Qingbo, Vice President of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT), and Yang Qianhua, Dean of the School of Network and Communication, were invited to attend the meeting.
During the meeting, the Communication Sub-committee of the Vocational Education Steering Committee of Industry and Information Technology carried out work summaries and exchanges of 7 special committees: those for school-enterprise cooperation, teacher development, ideological and political education in class, achievement transformation, teaching research, program construction, and international cooperation. Du Qingbo, Vice President of NJCIT, the host and secretary-general unit of the Special Committee for Teaching Research, presided over the exchanges and discussions.
At the exchange meeting, members expressed their opinions freely on the construction of vocational undergraduate programs, the integration of industry and education, going global of vocational education, and teaching reform in the context of digital intelligence, and offered suggestions for the future development of the Special Committee for Teaching Research. During the meeting, Yang Qianhua, Dean of the School of Network and Communication, made a summary of the work during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and a report on the construction plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan period to the members present at the meeting, clarifying the direction and focus of the future work of the special committees.
