The National Finals of Comprehensive Application of Electronic Design, Manufacturing, and Intelligent Control in the 2024 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition were successfully held at Jiangsu Vocational College of Electronics and Information from November 29 to December 1, attracting 49 teams from all over China. Students from the School of Electronic Information at the Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT) won great achievements in the competition: Xu Haipeng and Wu Guanlin won the national first prize under the guidance of teachers Liu Lei and Sun Dong, while Gao Zetong and Wang Meiyan won the national second prize under the guidance of teachers Chen Hong and Jiang Haibo. The NJCIT also won the Best Organization Award.
The competition is co-sponsored by the BRICS Business Council, the International Alliance of Skills Development for Belt & Road and BRICS Countries, the Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Training Center under the China Association for Science and Technology, the China Association of Innovations, and China Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education. It has been listed as a national Class A event in the 2024 National College Competitions Analysis Report.
The competition is divided into the preliminary and final rounds. After the preliminary selection in Module 1, the best ones will continue to participate in Module 2, Module 3, Module 4, and the comprehensive quality contest in the finals. It investigated the professional knowledge of contestants in electronic technology, electrotechnical technology, microprocessor technology, detection technology, control technology, and artificial intelligence technology; professional abilities in circuit design, PCB manufacturing, electronic circuit installation and debugging, electronic product design and intelligent control, assembly and debugging, detection, repair, maintenance and integration; and the comprehensive qualities of patriotism, professional ethics, work attitude, interpersonal communication, teamwork, model worker spirit and craftsmanship spirit.
This award is an excellent result of the meticulous layout and deep integration of resources in the competition work of the School. It not only praises the quality of professional teaching and the hard-working spirit of students but also vividly explains the practice of practical teaching concepts in the School. Looking forward to the future, we will continue to adhere to the concept of promoting learning, teaching, and reform through competitions, unswervingly improve students' professional skills and comprehensive literacy, and devote ourselves to cultivating more outstanding talents in the field of electronic information and contributing our wisdom and strength.
