Great News! Students from the School of Intelligent Transportation Secure First Place in the First Prize of the 4th National Automobile Circulation Industry Vocational Skills Competition (Motor Vehicle Appraiser Contest)

From November 25 to 28, the finals of the 2024 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition—The 4th National Automobile Circulation Industry Vocational Skills Competition (Motor Vehicle Appraiser Contest) was held in Kunming, Yunnan. The competition was sponsored by China Automobile Dealers Association and China Employment Training Technical Guidance Center, and co-organized by Yunnan Communications Vocational and Technical College and Beijing Yunhua Technology Development Co., Ltd. Under the guidance of teacher Hu Baiyu, Cai Tianyu from New Energy Vehicle Technology Class 2301 of the School of Intelligent Transportation of NJCIT stood out from 114 teams across the country and won first place in the national finals of the Appraiser Contest.

Closely aligning with the actual needs of the automobile industry and enterprises, this competition focused on motor vehicle appraisal and second-hand vehicle sales and comprehensively assessed the professional competence and skill levels of the participants. Before the competition, NJCIT's leaders and college leaders placed high importance on the preparations for the competition, and guided and encouraged the participating teams on site several times. During the competition, the students, with their solid professional knowledge and in-depth understanding of motor vehicle appraisal and evaluation, developed careful plans, conscientiously answered questions and demonstrated on site, showcasing excellent theoretical foundation and exquisite second-hand vehicle sales skills and earning unanimous praise from the experts and judges of the competition. This competition not only enhanced students' practical ability in the field of automobile appraisal and evaluation but also strengthened technical exchanges and cooperation between teachers and industry associations, enterprises, and schools.

In the future, based on industry development needs, the School of Intelligent Transportation will continue to build an intelligent connected vehicle technology major group primarily consisting of new energy vehicle technology, intelligent connected vehicle technology, and intelligent transportation technology. It will connect with industries, deepen college-enterprise cooperation, strengthen talent cultivation, and contribute more to the high-quality development of China's intelligent vehicle industry.
