NJCIT Completes the Random Inspection of Physical Health Standards of the Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education, the Ministry of Education

On November 23, 2024, the Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education, the Ministry of Education carried out a random inspection and review of the implementation of the National Student Physical Health Standard (2014 Revision) in more than 10 provinces across China. A total of eight colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province were randomly selected for the test. The number of people participating in this test, and NJCIT had 283 participants in this test, involving three different colleges.

NJCIT attached great importance to this test. The Department of Physical Education set up a random inspection working group, and relevant functional departments and colleges cooperated with each other and earnestly organized the test, fully demonstrating the good state of physical health among our students.

Before the test, the Department of Physical Education conducted thorough mobilization and promotion for all the students to be tested, emphasized the importance of physical health, and helped them familiarize themselves with the test process and matters needing attention before, during and after the test.

On the day of the test, in strict accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education, the selected students were grouped and warmed up under the guidance of teachers. At the same time, each student was given an energy pack to ensure that their physical fitness would not be affected by physical factors during the test. The expert team assigned by the Ministry of Education was rigorous, meticulous and dedicated. They conducted tests on all selected students, including multiple items such as height, weight, lung capacity, 50-meter dash, standing long jump, sit-and-reach, pull-ups (for male)/sit-ups (for female), 800-meter run (for female)/1000-meter run (for male). During the test, all staff from the Department of Physical Education were responsible and diligent. Volunteers worked well together, and the selected students participated actively. The entire test site was orderly, and the random inspection and review was successfully completed.
