From November 15 to 17, NJCIT sent faculty representatives to Beijing to participate in the World Chinese Language Conference. This conference was hosted by the Ministry of Education and co-organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, the Chinese International Education Foundation, and the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching. More than 2,000 government officials, presidents, experts, scholars, representatives of teachers and students, as well as ambassadors to China from over 160 countries and regions attended the conference. President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the conference. Vice President Han Zheng attended the opening ceremony, read out President Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter, and delivered a speech.
The conference included multiple special sessions and parallel sessions, with topics such as R&D and Application of International Chinese Language Education Standards, Development and Practical Innovation of International Chinese Language Education Academic Systems, and New Opportunities in the New Era to Promote High-quality Development of Chinese Language + Vocational Education.
To actively respond to the call of the conference on the development of digital teaching resources, Chinese Plus, as the world's largest cloud service platform for international Chinese language education with the richest resources and the highest degree of specialization, launched a global selection of awards such as Golden Course and Golden Teacher in digital intelligence teaching. After individual application and expert review, a total of 29 courses and 35 teachers were finally awarded Golden Course and Golden Teacher respectively. The Communication Chinese by Ludifil from NJCIT won the Golden Course award. Ludifil and Sun Xiaoxia won the Golden Teacher award. The purpose of this selection is to commend educators who engage in Chinese language teaching around the world and have made outstanding performances and contributions, encourage more teachers to devote themselves to international Chinese language education, and promote cultural exchanges and understanding between China and foreign countries. The recognition of the two teachers from NJCIT also marks NJCIT's phased achievements in the development of international Chinese language education.
Ms. Wang Jinhong, President of Chinese Plus, made a report on the current development of Chinese language + vocational education resources, pointing out digital intelligence empowerment and equal emphasis on language proficiency and skills while calling on schools at home and abroad to actively offer Chinese language + academic degree education courses and develop textbooks and curriculum resources around Chinese language + position teaching. The Communication Chinese edited by Ludifil from NJCIT was exhibited and promoted during the conference as one of the series of textbooks for Chinese language + vocational skills teaching resource development.
In the future, NJCIT will continue to devote itself to the development of digital intelligence teaching for courses and resources related to Chinese language + vocational skills, making its contribution to international Chinese language education.
