In order to improve the legal and safety awareness of NJCIT international students enrolled in 2024 and ensure their safe and legal activities during their stay in China, the School of International Education invited officers from the Exit and Entry Administration Brigade of Qixia Branch, Nanjing Municipal Public Security Bureau to give a lecture on legal and safety education to NJCIT international students enrolled in 2024 in Conference Room C403, Administration Building at 15:30 on October 31.
During the lecture, the officers analyzed real cases involving international students in colleges and universities, and interpreted in detail the basic principles of laws and regulations such as the Public Security Administration Punishments Law of the People's Republic of China, the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, as well as the legal norms that international students should abide by during their stay in China. They also provided professional guidance and suggestions on problems that international students may encounter in their daily life such as losing passports. In addition, the officers replied to general concerns of international students such as traffic safety, network security, religious beliefs and activities, and personal privacy protection in China, especially Internet and telecom frauds that are common recently. A bilingual leaflet titled Prevention Against Telecom Frauds, which introduces common types of telecom frauds and preventive measures, and reminds students not to blindly click unverified links or after-sales services, was distributed to every international student.
This lecture not only enhanced the international students' legal concept, but also gave them a clearer understanding of how to live lawfully and safely in China, helping them better integrate into Chinese life and study.
