Great News: NJCIT Students Win the First Prize in the "Jiangsu Craftsman" Job Training Vocational Skills Competition for Computer Programmers

On October 29, the Jiangsu Craftsman Job Training Vocational Skills Competition and the Leading Labor Skills Competition of Making Great Achievements in the New Journey of the 14th Five-Year Plan—2024 Computer Programmer Professional Skills Competition Final were successfully held at Jiangsu Vocational College of Electronics and Information. In this competition, the team of students—Wu Haoyang, Zhao Kangning, and Guo Lu—guided by teachers Du Lu and Chu Zhe from the NJCIT School of Artificial Intelligence, won first prize through their tacit cooperation and calm response.

A total of 167 staff contestants and nearly one hundred student contestants advanced to the final. This competition is divided into two parts: theory and practical operation, with the former accounting for 20% and the latter 80%. It mainly focuses on platform deployment and analysis, with the assessment aspects including data theory knowledge, big data platform deployment, data processing and analysis.

This competition fully demonstrated the solid professionalism of NJCIT students. When faced with complex data sets and algorithm challenges, they remained calm and effectively employed advanced programming techniques and innovative thinking to successfully solve the problems. They overcame one technical challenge after another through close cooperation and effective communication, demonstrating the spirit and outlook of a new generation of information technology talent.
