Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the List of National Online Quality Courses for Vocational Education of 2023. NJCIT's six courses, including Switching Technology and Equipment, 5G Communication Technology, Job Hunting Guide, Advanced Mathematics (II), PCB Design and Application, and Quality Management System and Certification, were selected and included in the list, ranking sixth nationwide and first in Jiangsu Province.
In recent years, to align with the new requirements of digital transformation and upgrading of education and teaching, NJCIT has made great efforts to create digital and networked teaching resources. It has successively issued the Implementation Plan for the Development of Online Open Courses of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology and the Standards for the Development of Online Open Courses of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology. A total of 263 online courses have been developed and put into operation on multiple platforms such as the MOOC platform for Chinese universities, and the smart vocational education platform. On the basis of continuous improvement in both the quantity and quality of digital teaching resources, NJCIT has highlighted a student-centered educational philosophy in the teaching process, developed hybrid smart courses and scenario-based smart classrooms, and comprehensively implemented online and offline integrated course teaching. Focusing on the needs of serving key areas of the modern industrial system and the industrial transformation and upgrading in Jiangsu Province, NJCIT has developed course resources jointly with cooperative enterprises based on real cases, fully incorporated new technologies, new processes and new specifications, cultivated high-quality online courses, and achieved fruitful results. In the past five years, NJCIT has selected and developed a total of 120 college-level online high-quality courses, including 12 national online open courses and national online high-quality courses, and 40 provincial online high-quality courses.
