From October 11 to 12, the Seminar on Digital Transformation and Development of Colleges and Universities in Western China was successfully held in Urumqi. It was jointly organized by the Education Department of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the China Higher Education information Academy, and Xinjiang Normal University. More than 300 people attended the meeting, including leaders of relevant departments, university leaders, information and technology experts and scholars, and enterprise representatives. NJCIT was invited to attend the conference and make a special report.
With the theme of Digitization Drives Modernization, a heated discussion was held on new ideas, methods and paths for high-quality development of universities empowered by digitization. Shen Fuke, Secretary General of ECNU Information Technology Service Center, Fan Chun, Director of System Management Office of Computing Center of Peking University, He Haitao, Director of Network and Information Center of Sun Yat-sen University, Cong Jianwei, Director of Informatization Department of Harbin Engineering University, Qian Yue, Director of Information Office of National University of Defense Technology, Zhang Zijiao, Director of Informatization Office of Zhengzhou University, He Xiaowei, Director of Information and Technology Services Office of Northwest University, etc. delivered wonderful academic reports respectively. Wang Junsong, Director of the Digital Construction Center of NJCIT, shared our practice and exploration in the construction of data governance system and digital construction with a speech titled The Way of Data-Thinking and Practice of Digital Transformation in Vocational Colleges, which was recognized by experts present at the meeting. He played a good role in promoting the development of digital transformation of colleges and universities and boosting their high-quality development.
In recent years, all departments at NJCIT have worked diligently to enhance the data ecosystem and quality, digitally transform key business processes, promote the digital transformation of full-service applications, and provide essential support for improving grassroots governance capacity and the university's high-quality development.
