On the afternoon of October 7, Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology welcomed Huang Yaqiong, champion of mixed doubles in badminton, and He Bingjiao, runner-up in women's singles at the Paris 2024 Olympics on the occasion of warmly celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. They, together with teachers and students from NJCIT, participated in the Delivering the Olympic Spirit and Showcasing the Charm of Youth activity planned by the Tang Jinhua Model Worker Innovation Studio. The event kicked off with the solemn national anthem. First, President Tian Min delivered a speech, introducing the 71-year history of NJCIT and expressing NJCIT people's most sincere welcome and highest respect for the arrival of Olympic champions. During the interactive interview, Olympic champions Huang Yaqiong and He Bingjiao shared their growth journey from an ordinary athlete to a world champion, as well as their little-known touching stories in the Olympics. The brilliant achievement of the Olympic champion is not only a symbol of personal honor but also the pride of the country and the glory of the nation. This also inspired the students to develop the Chinese sports spirit of winning glory for the country and fighting tenaciously. As the world champions sent their signed badminton rackets to the audience, the event reached its climax. Huang Yaqiong and He Bingjiao teamed up with NJCIT students and young badminton enthusiasts for a world-class badminton exchange match, providing a visual feast for the spectators. The cheers and applause at the meet-and-greet event rose and fell, leaving every spectator wanting more. In the end, Wang Danzhong, Secretary of the CPC Committee, and the Olympic champions exchanged commemorative gifts, continuing the legacy of champions, promoting the Olympic spirit, and spreading sports culture.

The Provincial Model Worker Advanced Innovation Studio, headed by Tang Jinhua, a badminton world champion, is one of the important measures taken by NJCIT to attach great importance to the all-round development of students, actively build the talent training mode of five educations, and cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talent with all-round moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor skill development. Since its establishment, the studio has effectively leveraged the role of world champions as examples and role models to promote badminton, foster a positive campus sports culture, and enhance the overall quality of students. Today, as members of the studio, Huang Yaqiong and He Bingjiao have further exemplified the role of sports in educating and nurturing individuals both physically and mentally. They not only brought the glory of their achievements but also inspired our students to face challenges without retreating, whether on their academic journeys or in life's pursuits.

The Olympic spirit empowers us to set our aspirations high and pursue new paths with determination. Let's join hands, take champions as our role models, strive tirelessly for the high-quality development of NJCIT, and create brilliance together!
