Recently, according to the Notice on Publicizing the List of the First Batch of China-ASEAN Thousand Schools Hands Together Initiative Project Schools issued by the Secretariat of China Education Association for International Exchange, after preliminary application and expert review, NJCIT was selected for the first batch of China-ASEAN Thousand Schools Hands Together Initiative project schools. A total of 28 vocational schools in Jiangsu Province were selected.
The successful selection is not only a full recognition of the exchanges and cooperation in vocational education between NJCIT and ASEAN countries, but also an incentive for NJCIT to continue to explore innovation and extensive exchanges, and actively explore more diversified and deeper international cooperation models. Taking this as an opportunity, NJCIT will continue to give full play to its professional advantages and consolidate its characteristics, further strengthen educational exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries, improve the quality of its international talent training, devote itself to better serving the development of China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership, and inject its vitality into international exchanges.
It is reported that the China-ASEAN Thousand Schools Hands Together Initiative is an important measure to actively respond to General Secretary Xi Jinping's initiative to build a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future and serve the Belt and Road Initiative. Since its implementation last year, it has attracted more than 1,500 schools from both sides. The Initiative aims to rely on the existing foundation of education cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, further strengthen vocational education cooperation, meet the new needs of regional industry enterprises, promote economic and social development through larger-scale and deeper educational exchanges and cooperation, and promote people-to-people bonds between China and foreign countries.
