Recently, during the closing ceremony of the China-Africa-UNESCO High-Level Dialogue on Education and Cultural Heritage Protection, the Future of Africa China-Africa Vocational Education Cooperation Plan Digital Resource Platform was officially launched. Following a thorough application process and expert evaluations, a series of high-quality multilingual courses from NJCIT, including Optical Fiber Communication Engineering led by Professor Yin Faming, went online on the platform among the first batch of resources. In total, nine vocational colleges from Jiangsu Province had relevant courses selected for the platform simultaneously. This platform, leveraging China's National Smart Education Platform, brings together a collection of top-notch, industry-leading, and highly applicable courses, enabling quality resources to transcend time and distance, connecting China and Africa.
The National Smart Education Platform, with the initiative to establish an international version of the National Smart Vocational Education Platform, first established a sub-platform tailored for vocational education development in African countries. The sub-platform is designed to be integrated, intelligent, and international, emphasizing application-oriented adaptation. It aims to accelerate the circulation of digital educational resources, serve the cultivation of international high-quality skilled talent, and elevate the overall standard of vocational education.
Moving forward, NJCIT will continue to enhance the variety and quantity of digital resources on the platform, consistently update and upgrade course formats and content, and actively participate in the Future of Africa China-Africa Vocational Education Cooperation Plan, leveraging digital innovation to support the development of an education power while contributing to the exchange and collaboration in vocational education between China and Africa.
