RAICOM is jointly organized by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Organizing Committee of the RoboCom International Open Competition. It has consistently been included in the Ranking of National General College Students' Competitions by the China Association of Higher Education. This competition is one of the most authoritative and influential events in the field of comprehensive robotics and artificial intelligence innovation in China.
Throughout the summer break, with significant support from the leadership of the School of Intelligent Transportation and NJCIT administration, the school has been diligently preparing for the competition. The 2024 RAICOM was grandly held from August 24 to 26 at the Artificial Intelligence Town in Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City. More than 100 teams, consisting of nearly 500 educators and students from over 50 universities nationwide, engaged in the fierce competition. Guided by teachers Shi Rongzhen and Chen Sainan, the student teams from the school delivered exceptional performances. The Vans Ruyi team, composed of Yue Jie, Huang Ping, and Hua Mengyao, secured the national first prize (National Champion). The Hykes Technology team, consisting of Qi Hengxu, Hua Jinhu, and Xu Yilin, was awarded the national second prize.
The School of Intelligent Transportation utilizes its Technical Master Studio to cultivate a holistic educational environment grounded in competition-driven teaching and learning. This methodology, which embraces the concept of learning through competition and mastering through practice, effectively enhances the students' practical engineering skills.
