The 26th China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition recently concluded successfully. Guided by NJCIT, the School of Artificial Intelligence placed great importance on this event. They assembled a dedicated team of senior faculty from the AI technology application program, who offered thorough and insightful guidance for the participating projects. After two months of rigorous preparation and relentless effort, the students overcame numerous technical challenges and continuously fine-tuned their competition equipment, ultimately standing out in the fierce competition.
In this competition, the School of Artificial Intelligence participated in three events: the Robot Task Challenge, the Robot Application Contest, and another event. They achieved remarkable results, securing a first prize, a third prize, and three excellence awards at the national level. Additionally, they excelled in the Jiangsu Provincial Competition, winning one first prize, four second prizes, four third prizes, and a participation award.
Significantly, the school excelled in the Mini Tabletop category of the Robot Task Challenge by securing first place at both the provincial and national competitions. This achievement underscores the institution’s prominent standing and expertise in this sector. They achieved notable success in the Intelligent Driving category of the Robot Application Contest, securing a third prize and two participation awards at the national level, along with three second prizes and four third prizes at the provincial level. Furthermore, they earned a participation award at the national level, along with a second prize and a third prize at the provincial level in the Intelligent Inspection category of the Robot Application Contest.
This competition not only comprehensively assessed the students' professional skills but also rigorously tested their teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities. Through participation in the competition, the students not only acquired substantial experience in the debugging and operation of intelligent vehicles but also gained profound insights into their own limitations. Looking ahead, the School of Artificial Intelligence will seize the opportunity presented by this competition to rigorously evaluate and refine its educational content and teaching methods. This commitment to continuous improvement will serve to establish a solid foundation for nurturing outstanding talent in the fields of robot and artificial intelligence.
