Wang Danzhong, Secretary of the CPC Committee, Attends the 2024 General Meeting of the Steering Committee for Informatization Teaching in Vocational Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education

On March 30, the 2024 General Meeting of the Steering Committee for Informatization Teaching in Vocational Colleges and Universities (Informatization Teaching Steering Committee) of the Ministry of Education kicked off. It aimed to thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, fully implement the instructions in documents such as the Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Construction of the Modern Vocational Education System and the Notice on Key Tasks for Accelerating the Establishment and Reform of the Modern Vocational Education System, and adapt to the digital transformation trend and reform requirements of vocational education. Accompanied by, Yang Qianhua, Director of the Office of Academic Affairs, Wang Danzhong, Chairman of the Special Committee on Digital Resources of Informatization Teaching Steering Committee and Secretary of the CPC Committee of NJCIT, attended the meeting and presided over the Meeting of the Special Committee on Digital Resources.

At the meeting, Director Yang Qianhua, on behalf of the Special Committee on Digital Resources, summarized the key work carried out in 2023, including the revision of national online excellent course construction standards, digital transformation forum, national online excellent course construction and declaration, special conference on information technology application innovation talent training, and pairing assistance to Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational Technical College and Xinjiang Career Technical College. Director Yang also reported the work plan of the Special Committee in 2024.

At the Meeting of the Special Committee on Digital Resources, Secretary Wang Danzhong made a report entitled Digital Resource Construction for Vocational Education under the Background of New Quality Productive Forces to all members. He elaborated on four aspects, including the changes in the concept of vocational education talent training brought by the development of new quality productive forces, the impact of the development of new quality productive forces on the new round of major group construction, the understanding of the value essence of vocational education in digital resource construction, and insights into the mission of vocational education in cultivating master craftsmen. He also put forward three suggestions for the work of the Special Committee on Digital Resources. First, the committee should pay more attention to the preparation of annual work plans; second, the participation in meetings should be improved; third, the committee should further strengthen its standardization construction.

Moving forward, the Special Committee on Digital Resources will further study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statements on building a Digital China, and put into practice the action guidelines of the Ministry of Education's digital education strategy. To this end, it will focus on resource construction, application case selection and application promotion of the national smart vocational education platform, and carry out activities such as digital resources construction for vocational education, educational teaching mode reform, subject research and high-quality case sharing. Through these efforts, the digital transformation and upgrading of vocational colleges and the reform of teaching models will be continuously promoted.
