NJCIT Holds the Achievement Exchange Meeting of the "People-to-people Exchange Program" of the Ministry of Education Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) Invited to China

On the morning of March 21, the achievement exchange meeting of the Jingshi Institute (5G communication major) jointly established by NJCIT and RMUTT under the People-to-people Exchange Program of China Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education (MOE), P.R.China, was successfully held in the conference room on the fifth floor of the Administrative Building of NJCIT. Thailand guests participating the program and invited to attend the exchange meeting in China include Krischonme Bhumkittipich, Vice President of RMUTT, Pimnapat Bhumkittipich, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Boonyang Plangklang and Nut Keawsakul, Assistants to the President of RMUTT, Pakornkiat Sawetmethikul, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Technical Education, Sirichai Dangeam, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Monthon Nawong, Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Nuchtiphong U-Thong, Director of the Office of Academic Promotion and Registration, Amnioy Ruengwaree, Director of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, and Walanrak Poomchalit, Director of International Strategy Division. Chinese counterparts are Liu Tianjiao and Tan Chan, General Manager and Manager of International Education Department of Beijing Huatec Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Huatec) respectively. Besides, Du Qingbo, Vice President of NJCIT, and leaders of relevant functional departments and schools undertaking teaching tasks also attended the meeting presided over by Cao Xue, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of NJCIT.

Liu Tianjiao made a report and summary of the initial achievements of the People-to-people Exchange Program of the Ministry of Education under the tripartite cooperation of College-University-Enterprise. She said that under the guidance of China Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education, P.R.China and with the proactive participation and push of the three parties, colleges and universities of China and Thailand have cooperated with each other and been active in developing international majors. The Innovation Class of 5G Communication Technology Major has been offered in Thailand, and relevant tasks such as site selection for overseas laboratories, faculties' overseas lectures, development of international teaching resources, building of national teaching platforms, as well as international competitions and joint scientific research and innovation has been underway. These are a testament to the fruitful results of the program since its launch.

Before the meeting, Vice President Du Qingbo first extended a warm welcome to the guests on behalf of NJCIT, and briefly introduced the general situation of the College, the faculty, the schools, speciality setup and development, and international exchanges and cooperation, looking forward to deepening the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities. At the same time, he called on all participants to think like the owners of the program, seize the favorable opportunity, and spare no pains to increase investment. With these efforts, we will continuously speed up program progress, provide more right, localized talent for Chinese enterprises to go global, and vigorously promote cultural exchanges and people-to-people bonds between China and Thailand.

Vice President Krischonme Bhumkittipich thanked NJCIT and Huatec for inviting RMUTT to participate in the achievement exchange meeting held in China. He said that with the setup of 5G Communication Major in Thailand, RMUTT has introduced high-quality vocational education resources from China in terms of the development of international majors and the establishment of international teaching platforms, and the cooperation among College-University-Enterprise has achieved remarkable results. He also hoped that RMUTT will continue to deepen cooperation with NJCIT and Huatec to explore more cooperation modes and elevate the international influence of RMUTT.

After the meeting, the guests, accompanied by the heads of relevant functional departments and schools, paid a visit to NJCIT's experimental training sites for teaching and scientific research, including the national network and communication engineering training base, communication exhibition hall, optical transmission training room, optical network equipment room, as well as training room for mobile network optimization.

As one of the first batch of colleges and universities selected for MOE's People-to-people Exchange Program first implemented in 2019, NJCIT and RMUTT worked together to build the Jingshi Institute in 2021, delivering promising cooperation results in the early stage of the program. Going forward, the three parties will work in unity and strengthen cooperation, leverage the advantages of the College-University-Enterprise model featuring joint building and innovation, and pursue brand-new patterns and paths for international education cooperation. In this way, the three parties strive to develop the Jingshi Program into a brand program to reinforce cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Thailand, push the two universities to improve the international level of industry-education integration, empower the two in the progress of international majors, and promote the combination of Chinese Language + Vocational Skills education, and serve the economic and social development needs of the Belt and Road Initiative.
