On the afternoon of 9 December, the Chinese+TVET Education Development Forum, a parallel forum to the 2022 International Chinese Language Education Conference, was held in an offline and online format. The forum focused on international cooperation and innovative development of Chinese+TVET education. 17 Chinese and foreign guests from foreign education authorities, embassies in China, Chinese enterprises and domestic vocational colleges and universities delivered excellent speeches. Ma Jianfei, Director of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, and Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre attended the forum and delivered speeches. 

The forum was chaired by NJCIT President Tian Min, who was invited to discuss the third topic, in which the heads of vocational and technical colleges and representatives of enterprises in China focused on how to develop school-enterprise cooperation and how to promote international exchange programmes in vocational colleges and universities, so as to enhance the international level and help Chinese+TVET education to increase its scale and influence overseas. Taking this forum as an opportunity, NJCIT will continue to adhere to the characteristics of Chinese+TVET education, with quality improvement as the core, the integration of industry and education as the way, and pilot projects as the leader, to continuously enhance the international influence and competitiveness of NJCIT, and promote the construction of a new system for the high-quality development of Chinese+TVET education, and promote the high-quality integration of international Chinese education and vocational education. 

It is reported that the success of the 2022 Chinese+TVET Education Development Forum will provide a reference for exploring the development of vocational education with Chinese characteristics, and how to better serve Chinese learners around the world and help Chinese vocational education go global.
