NJCIT Invited to Attend Inaugural Meeting of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Vocational Education Research Association and Forum on Vocational Education Helping to Build Community of Common Destiny

On May 28–30, the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education's Inaugural Meeting of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Vocational Education Research Association and the Forum on Vocational Education was held in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT) was invited to join the Association and became one of the first members. The meeting was presided over by Shi Wei, Executive Vice President of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education.

The report of the preparatory work, the regulations of the research association, the list of the first committee members, the list of the main persons in charge of the first committee, and the list of the experts in the Steering Committee were reviewed and approved in the meeting. After that, the Forum themed on Vocational Education Helping to Build a Community of Common Destiny was held and experts, scholars and presidents of universities and colleges gathered to conduct in-depth discussions on the theme.

It is reported that the inaugural meeting of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Vocational Education Research Association was sponsored by the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education and supported by the Central Institute of Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of Education and the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of China–ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. A total of 218 institutions were admitted to the Research Association, including 13 undergraduate colleges and universities, 180 higher vocational colleges, 16 secondary vocational schools, four enterprises and one industry association. Meanwhile, 64 overseas partners and 100 enterprise partners have been admitted as well.
