Leaders of NJCIT Lead Team to JD Logistics for Cooperation

In order to promote cooperation with Jingdong Logistics Group Corporation (JDL), Tian Min, President of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT) and Xu Jianjun, Vice President of NJCIT led a team of seven persons in charge of relevant departments to visit the headquarters of JD Group in Beijing on May 16–17 for inspection and investigation. They paid the visit for further negotiation on deepening the integration of education and industry and building industrial colleges through college-enterprise cooperation. Fan Guanghui, General Manager of the Education Business of JDL, and other relevant personnel received President Tian and his delegation.

Accompanied by Guo Zihan, the head of the East China Education Business of JDL, and Wang Qi, the head of the e-commerce business of Education Business of JDL, President Tian Min and his delegation experienced a technological, cultural, and intelligent JD Group at this global headquarters in an all-round way. They visited JD's digital exhibition hall, unmanned supermarket, drone exhibition hall, service hall of SSC (Shared Service Center), enterprise sand table, cultural exhibition hall and the JD Command Center, and listened to a detailed introduction of JD Group's development, business pattern, cutting-edge R&D and recent development plan. At JDL's Technology R&D Center, they visited the unmanned logistics assembly center and listened to the introduction of JDL's development, storage layout, supply chain services, and so on. After that, the two sides held a symposium for in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as deepening college–enterprise cooperation and building an industry college of the intelligent supply chain.

At the symposium, Fan Guanghui, General Manager of the Education Business of JDL, welcomed President Tian and his delegation and introduced the industrial layout of JD Group and JD's integration of environmental education resources. He showed that JD is using JDL Education as a unified brand to empower the talent training of institutions and serve the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation. He also made a brief introduction to the cooperation between JD Group and colleges and universities and the cooperation models. Li Tie, Senior Director of Supply Chain of JDL, introduced JD's practices in deepening the supply chain reform to make it sustainable and showed the talent demand for a smart supply chain. It is reported that JDL Education, based on JD's technical advantages and industrial capabilities in e-commerce, logistics, IoT, big data, blockchain, and 5G, integrates technology, platform, and ecology to make itself a carrier that brings together enterprises, universities, research institutes and end-users with the online and offline combination. JDL Education brings physical business scenarios into campus and empowers the talents needed for the digital upgrading of the supply chain by building industrial colleges with colleges and universities, establishing training bases of industry-education integration, and implementing 1+X vocational skills certification.

At the meeting, President Tian Min first expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of JD Group and expressed his high respect for JDL's sincerity and efforts in promoting mutual visits and cooperation in the early stage. President Tian introduced NJCIT's history, school positioning, major group layout and the construction of the Double High-level Plan. He also showed his expectation for a model of the industry–education integration and school-enterprise cooperation created through the powerful cooperation of the two sides and he hoped that the relevant cooperation projects can be implemented as soon as possible. Vice President Xu Jianjun introduced NJCIT's school-enterprise cooperation, especially the construction of the Industrial College and the pilot of the 1+X vocational skills certificate. He looked forward to in-depth cooperation with JDL in bringing together enterprises, universities, research institutes and end-users. During the discussion, the School of Digital Commerce made a speech about the early cooperation between the two sides, the preliminary construction plan and the arrangement of subsequent work.

During their stay in Beijing, President Tian and his delegation also visited Zhongjiao Changxiang (Beijing) Education Technology Co., Ltd., and Huang Xuequan, Chairman of the company, received President Tian and his delegation.
