Good News: School of Intelligent Manufacturing, NJCIT Wins Awards in 16th "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge

Recently, the results of the 16th Siemens Cup China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge 2022, guided by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Ministry of Education and co-hosted by China Simulation Federation and Siemens (China), were announced.


Peng Chen, Chen Peng, Yan Wei and Zhu Fangyuan from the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, NJCIT guided the team through provincial, regional and national preliminary selective trials. Eventually, the team won awards in the national finals of CNC digital twins-virtual commissioning and intelligent production lines and collaborative robots. Six students, including Wang Keyu and Chen Zhenfei, won the second prize in the national final of CNC digital twins-virtual commissioning. Meanwhile, three students, namely Hua Guojie, Gao Jiajun and Fan Xueyu, won the second prize in the national final of intelligent production lines and collaborative robots.


Included in the national university discipline competition of the Ministry of Education, the challenge involves scientific and technological innovation, product development, engineering design and intelligent application in the intelligent manufacturing field, cultivating and selecting technical and innovative talent with the ability to solve complex engineering problems for the development of China's intelligent manufacturing. The challenge attracted 695 colleges, 6,067 teams, 4,128 teachers and 18,388 students from all over China.
