On the afternoon of July 15, the skilled personnel training salon titled Industry-University Integration for Coordinated Development was held in the Industrial Technology Research and Innovation Park in Jiangbei New Area in Nanjing as sponsored by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu and Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu Province, and undertaken by Jiangsu Software Industry Talent Development Foundation, Jiangbei New Area Industrial Technology Research and Innovation Park, Loongson (Nanjing) Technology Co., Ltd., Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, and Huaiyin Institute of Technology.
Expert representatives from colleges and enterprises held discussions on university-industry integration. Tian Min, president of NJCIT, was invited to the event and shared views on cultivation of talents in information technology innovation from the perspective of vocational education.
It is reported that the Industrial Technology Research and Innovation Park, at the core of scientific and technological innovation in Jiangbei New Area, is regarded as the source, leading area and important growth pole for scientific and technological innovation in the province. The park has attracted more than 10,000 enterprises, cultivated 243 enterprises above designated size, 483 high-tech enterprises and more than 20 listed companies, built 28 public technical service platforms and 33 new-type R&D institutions, and attracted more than 20 academician teams and over 2,000 experts and talents with doctoral degree or above for cooperation and innovation. The industries of chips, servers and other kinds of hardware have taken shape in the park. The park regards basic software as the trigger, and application software and network security as the growth point for the development of the information technology industry. Huawei's Kunpeng + Shengteng and Loongson have all settled here, with Loongson Eco-Industrial Park, Kunpeng Eco-Industrial Park, China Mobile Big Data Center, and China Future Internet Engineering Center built. It aims to build bases for the manufacture of components, parts, and complete machines featuring independent innovation with its own brand Beilian Computing as the leading server. The first production line has been put into operation.
