Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition 2022 is jointly sponsored by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Jiangsu Development & Reform Commission, and the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu. The VR Design and Production Competition-Higher Vocational Students Group focused on key links of the VR industry chain. The relevant skills and teamwork ability of the contestants were comprehensively assessed from five aspects, namely VR modeling, VR engine production, interactive production of action, VR project design and professional quality.
This year marks the fifth time that the School of Digital Arts has participated in the competition. Due to the great changes in the provincial competition's rules this year, the whole college saw cooperation to get good results. During the preparation period, the leaders of the School of Digital Arts communicated deeply with the instructors and students for many times, went to the training site for inspection and guidance, and encouraged the participating teachers and students. The instructors carefully studied the rules of last year's national competition and this year's provincial competition, sorted out the knowledge points in the rules, and made a detailed intensive training plan. The students trained for more than 10 hours, and made a summary every day. As the competition was approaching, they carried out simulation training for 6 hours every other day, in order to strengthen their psychological ability to work under pressure. Through careful preparation and down-to-earth practice, the team has finally maintained the first place of the first prize for five consecutive years.
