Characteristics and Advantages

The major of Microelectronic Technology began to enroll students in 2004. In 2012, it was selected as a key specialty in the “Electronic Components Specialty Group” of Jiangsu Provincial 12th Five-Year Plan colleges and universities key specialties construction project. In 2016, it was selected as a key specialty in the national backbone photoelectronic technique specialty group.

The major mainly cultivates professional groups like electronic component engineering technicians, semiconductor chip manufacturers, discrete semiconductor devices and integrated circuit assembly and debugging technicians, and integrated circuit development and testing technicians who can work in integrated circuit design and testing, electronic device manufacturing and other industries, and inter-disciplinary technical talents who can be engaged in integrated circuit layout design, semiconductor chip manufacturing process, semiconductor chip packaging, integrated circuit testing, FPGA application and development, chip technology application and product development, etc.

In-depth Cooperative Enterprises

The faculty has cooperated with Nanjing Tonghuaxin Microelectronics Co., Ltd. and LG Electronics Nanjing Display Co., Ltd. Every year, freshmen of the major receive professional awareness education at Nanjing Tonghuaxin Microelectronics Co., Ltd. Meanwhile, senior engineer Pan Jun, manager of the design department, also operates as a part-time teacher,giving professional lectures or classroom teaching for several periods every year. Since 2010, we have cooperated in work-study combination with LG Electronics Nanjing Display Co., Ltd., and arranged two batches of students to work as trainees at the enterprise every year to cultivate their hands-on practical ability.
