From October 25 to 28, 2024, the Software Testing Contest of World Vocational College Skills Competition (Higher Vocational College Group) was held at Chengdu Polytechnic. Over 240 students from 62 higher vocational college representative teams across China participated in the fierce competition. Guided by teachers Gu Haihua and Wang Yujuan from the School of Artificial Intelligence of NJCIT, a team composed of students Lu Yu, Liu Jiwei and Ge Xinyu, showcased their strong professional skills and outstanding performance on site. They calmly handled the challenges and ultimately won the gold medal.

In 2024, the National Competition for Skills of Vocational Education was upgraded to the World Vocational College Skills Competition, significantly increasing the difficulty and fierceness of the competition. All team members actively adapted to various changes and worked hard to overcome multiple challenges such as tight time constraints and fluctuating rules. After practicing day and night to prepare, they ultimately achieved outstanding results. This award was a thorough assessment of the quality of talent cultivation in NJCIT, and also a strong testament to the remarkable results achieved through a series of measures such as NJCIT's long-standing adherence to advanced educational concepts, continuous optimization of teaching models, and active building of diversified practice platforms.

As a non-profit international vocational college skills competition led by the Ministry of Education, the World Vocational College Skills Competition represents an important institutional innovation in China's vocational education field. NJCIT will take the excellent results from this competition as an opportunity to continue deepening the education and teaching reform, continuously improve the quality in cultivating high-quality skilled talents, and contribute to the high-quality development of NJCIT in the new phase.
