From October 25 to 27, 2024, the 2024 Jiangsu Automobile Industry Vocational Skills Competition and the Jiangsu Qualifying Round of 2024 National Automobile Circulation Industry Vocational Skills Competition were held in Nantong. The teachers and students of NJCIT won first place in the Second-hand Car Marketing Contest (student group) and fourth place in the Intelligent Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Vehicle-Road Coordination) Contest (staff group).
The 2024 Jiangsu Automobile Industry Vocational Skills Competition was sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transport, Jiangsu Federation of Trade Unions, and Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce, guided by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and co-organized by the Automobile Sales Chamber of Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce, Jiangsu Finance, Trade and Textile Trade Union, and Jiangsu Transportation Trade Union. It is a provincial first-class competition included in the 2024 Jiangsu Craftsman Job Training Vocational Skills Competition Catalogue. After the selection process, over 200 contestants from across the province participated in the Jiangsu provincial finals. In the 3-day fierce competition, the teachers and students from the School of Intelligent Transportation performed well and achieved good results. Student Cai Tianyu from New Energy Vehicle Technology Class 2301, under the guidance of teacher Hu Baiyu, won first place in terms of total score in the Second-hand Car Marketing Contest (student group); teacher Li Yumeng won fourth place in terms of the total score in the Intelligent Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Vehicle-Road Coordination) Contest (staff group). According to the competition documents, teacher Hu Baiyu and student Cai Tianyu will be awarded the honorary title of Jiangsu Technical Expert, while teacher Li Yumeng will be awarded the honorary titles of Jiangsu Technical Expert and Jiangsu Transportation Technical Expert.
This competition is not only an organic part of the job training activity of the Jiangsu Province Million Technical Talent Competition but also a platform provided by the School of Intelligent Transportation for teachers and students to showcase and challenge themselves. They can learn from each other and make progress together in the competition, injecting fresh blood and vitality into the technological innovation and talent reserve of the automobile industry.
