Tian Min and NJCIT Delegation Attend the G20 Technical and Vocational Education Dialogue

On October 12, 2024, the G20 Technical and Vocational Education Dialogue was held at Beijing Information Technology College. With the theme of Vocational and Technical Cooperation in the Digital Era: Mechanisms, Approaches and Strategies, the conference includes three parts: Restructure vocational education system-digital empowerment and governance innovation; unlock the workplace potential-evolution of digital skills and career needs; outlook on global trends-capacity building and transformation of cooperation models. Wang Xinbo, Director of the Institute of Vocational Education and Continuing Training, China National Academy of Educational Sciences; Shitanshu Mishra, Chief of Digital Learning, AI and Technology of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development, UNESCO; Wang Yi, Deputy Director of the Research Office of Foreign Human Resources and International Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Personnel Sciences; Huo Lijuan, Director of the Institute of Vocational Education, Beijing Academy of Education Sciences, and other experts and scholars made speeches at the dialogue.

Prof. Tian Min, President of NJCIT, Prof. Yu Baoming from the Department of Industry-Education Integrated Development, and Ma Yongbing, Dean of School of Electronic Information attended the dialogue. Through this conference, we have gained a clearer understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing vocational education in the new era, including the new layout systems, requirements, and actions necessary for its development. We also explored the strategic deployment of vocational education reform and the pathways for constructing modern vocational education systems. This provides valuable insights for the top-level design of the national 'Double High-Level Initiative' and the practical implementation of specialized groups.
