From June 25 to 27, Lisan (first from right in Picture 1), an Indonesian student of our college, was invited by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Shanghai to participate in the 7th Belt and Road Brand Expo held in Shanghai Exhibition Center. During the Expo, she performed the traditional dance of the Dayak people at the Silk Road Music Festival. The exhibition is sponsored by the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai and the Shanghai Representative Office of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), hosted by the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce, and organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd.

During the three-day event, Lisan warmly communicated with friends from all over the world to introduce the traditional culture of Indonesia and present the positive image of students in our college. She actively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative of China, and served as a loyal messenger for the cultural communication and exchange between China and Indonesia.

Since its inception in 2017, the Belt and Road Brand Expo has been successfully held for six sessions in Shanghai, Chongqing and other places by relying on the global network co-built by embassies and consulates, chambers of commerce and organizations of relevant countries. It has attracted more than 600 exhibitors from nearly 70 countries and regions, and organized more than 640 one-to-one trade promoting meetings, attracting more than 100,000 visits.
