In the just-concluded national preliminary competition of the Siemens Cup China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge, six students from the School of Intelligent Manufacturing of NJCIT, including Sun Tianyu, Jin Lei, Zhong Weicheng, Zhu Haowen, Gao Shiyu and Xi Rui, won the second prize in the Digital Twin-Virtual Debugging Competition and the second prize in the Intelligent Production Line and Collaborative Robot Competition under the guidance of Mr. Peng Chen, Chen Peng, Yan Wei and Zhu Fangyuan. This is the first appearance of our college in the competition. Our teachers and students have made meticulous preparation for competition in such new industrial technologies as the digital twin and collaborative robot. Their hard work and good preparation have laid a solid foundation for their great achievements.
The Siemens Cup China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge is jointly organized by the Steering Committee for Automation Specialty in Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. and the China Simulation Federation. The competition has been successfully held for 13 sessions. With the support of governments at all levels, manufacturing enterprises, nearly 600 universities and more than 1,000 colleges in China, the competition has become the largest national competition with the highest specifications in the field of intelligent manufacturing in China.
