The Inauguration Ceremony of Jingshi Institute Jointly Established by NJCIT and RMUTT Held

The inauguration ceremony of the Jingshi Institute (5G communication major) jointly established by the Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT) and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) was held on September 28, 2021. Du Kewei, Director of the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education, P.R.China, delivered a video speech. Tian Min, President of NJCIT, Sommai Pivsa-Art‬, President of RMUTT, and Zhang Yu, President of Beijing Huatec Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Huatec) attended the inauguration ceremony via video links in Nanjing, Tanyaburi and Beijing, respectively.

At the inauguration ceremony, Director Du Kewei highly praised the substantial progress made by the three parties in overcoming the adverse effects brought by the COVID-19 pandemic and promoting the construction of the Jingshi Institute majoring in 5G communication. He urged the Chinese and Thailand universities to make joint efforts and strengthen cooperation to explore new models and paths for international education cooperation based on the establishment of the Jingshi Institute, and strive to make the Jingshi Institute a brand project to promote cultural exchanges between China and Thailand.

President Sommai Pivsa-Art‬ introduced the work they did for the construction of the Jingshi Institute and expressed his hope to work with NJCIT around the construction of the project. He pointed out that RMUTT is ready to work together with NJCIT to develop a professional talent training program, carry out international talent training for 5G communication majors, and build the Jingshi Institute into a model base for international talent training in 5G communication technology in Thailand.

President Tian Min introduced NJCIT's experience in cultivating high-quality technical talent in three professional clusters of information product manufacturing, information network and information technology services, and the achievements made by the college in international education cooperation in recent years. He said that by jointly building the Jingshi Institute majoring in 5G communication with RMUTT, the college will work together with the RMUTT to carry out discipline construction, curriculum design and talent training, further expand the international influence of the college, and deepen the exchange and cooperation between the college and overseas sister institutions.

President Zhang Yu delivered a speech on behalf of the Huatec. He reviewed the history of cooperation between Huatec and NJCIT, and hoped to deepen the industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation by taking the opportunity of the establishment of Jingshi Institute, thus pushing the three-party cooperation to a higher level.

The Jingshi Institute is jointly built by NJCIT, RMUTT and Huatec. Relying on RMUTT's academic and environmental platform, and NJCIT's advanced teaching resources and professional standards of the 5G communication major, the institute carries out international talent training and technical talent training in foreign countries through technical innovation training and double diploma joint training programs. It provides a platform for NJCIT to promote its vocational education standards, develop resources, and carry out such activities as education and training, academic exchanges, credit mutual recognition, and mutual and joint degree-granting.‬‬‬‬
