From October 13 to 14, Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT) welcomed more than 4,470 freshmen enrolled in 2021 from Jiangsu Province and beyond. On the morning of October 14, President Tian Min, Vice President Lu Qun and Qian Qunlei, and the heads of the Student Affairs Office, Security Office and other relevant departments were present to greet freshmen. They inspected the workflow and on-site pandemic prevention and control measures one by one, and carefully inquired about the handling procedure related to admission. They required the on-site staff to be patient and careful to ensure the safe admission of freshmen.
Against the backdrop of regular pandemic prevention and control, the college attached great importance to pandemic prevention and control and held special working conferences in advance to formulate the registration plan, so that the registration work can be carried out in a safe, orderly, enthusiastic and efficient manner while strictly implementing pandemic prevention and control requirements. This year's registration work was carried out by a hybrid mode of online registration + offline check-in. It was the first time the college adopted the intelligent registration system. With the help of the intelligent system, freshmen can complete the procedures of personal information collection, class assignment and financial payment online in advance.
The college has set up the designated registration area for each school at the north gate, and posted the registration process and service guide in conspicuous places, so that freshmen can have their registration procedures done smoothly. Freshmen shall go through a series of procedures such as temperature check, verification of Jiangsu Health Code, travel code, 48-hour nucleic acid test certificate, and ID card check before entering the campus. They are allowed in the dormitory only after a nucleic acid test on campus.
The college also set up reception points at bus stations and the high-speed railway station, and opened designated buses to pick up freshmen at scheduled times. The Logistics Service Center has carried out careful disinfection and cleaning of student apartments, classrooms and canteens in advance to ensure a clean and beautiful campus environment; the Security Management Office has set up traffic signs at various intersections on campus and organized personnel to maintain traffic order to effectively relieve the traffic pressure on campus; each school has made full use of bulletin boards, exhibition stands and leaflets to help freshmen deepen their understanding of the college and their majors during registration; volunteers and teachers warmly answered questions from freshmen and briefed on them our campus culture. They also help freshmen complete the procedures such as on-campus guidance, baggage handling, and getting the dormitory key. Under the careful organization and cooperation of all relevant departments, the registration work of 2021 was completed in an orderly manner.
