The BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition is an international competition endorsed by the Preparatory Committee for the 2017 BRICS Summit and approved by the relevant competent departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and the BRICS Business Council. Since 2017, the competition has been presented to the top leaders of BRICS countries as an outcome design in the Work Report of the BRICS Business Council for four consecutive years.
The BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition in China is known as the Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition, which is a project organized by the China Association for Science and Technology to train talent through competition.
To participate in this competition, our participant team gave up their summer break and made a thorough training plan for the completion. They practiced the competition content every day and made reports every week. One month before the competition, students returned to school in advance to prepare for the competition under the approval of the college and on the premise of protecting themselves well amid the pandemic. After arriving at school, they overcame the inconvenience caused by pandemic prevention and control and intensified the practice. The team made a daily preparation plan. They practiced the competition content on the day and carried out reports and remarks in the evening. Mr. Wu Yu has been stranded in Yangzhou due to the pandemic, but he has always participated in the preparation of the competition through online communication tools such as Tencent Meeting and QQ. As a line of a Chinese poem goes, Honing gives a sharp edge to a sword, and bitter cold adds keen fragrance to plum blossom. The achievement of this competition is attributed to the joint efforts made by our teachers and students. We also wish them better results in future competitions.
