From October 25 to 27, the final round of the 5G Network Construction and Operation and Maintenance Technology Competition of the 2021 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition was held at Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering. More than 200 people from 68 teams from all over the country participated in the competition.
Students from our School of Network and Communication stood out during the fierce competition. Yu Yunlong and Gao Lv guided by Lecturers Wang Wenxuan and Deng Wei won the second place of the first prize, and Liu Mengqi and Chen Fan guided by Lecturers Gu Yanhua and Chen Xuejiao won the second prize. In addition, our college won the Best Organization Award and Excellent Organization Award. According to the competition rules, the top two teams will be qualified to participate in the international competition next year.
The BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition (BRICS Competition) is an international competition endorsed by the Preparatory Committee for the 2017 BRICS Summit and approved by the relevant competent departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and the BRICS Business Council. In order to implement Present Xi Jinping's important instruction of stimulating more workers, especially the younger generation, to improve their skills, and foster more highly skilled workers and craftsmen in a bid to achieve the goal of fully building a modern socialist country, the BRICS Business Council organized the 5th BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition.
