On October 30, the 2021 Jiangsu Provincial Big Data Analyst Skills Competition of Telecommunications, a serial activity of the 4th Jiangsu Provincial Technical Talent Competition, kicked off at Changzhou College of Information Technology. Liu Xing, a teacher of business data analysis and application from the School of Digital Commerce of the Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT), won first prize in the staff group of the competition, and was qualified to participate in the national competition.
The competition is designed in accordance with the professional requirements for big data analysts and the standards for big data engineering technicians of the National Vocational Skills Competition. It focuses on big data analysis, and covers various aspects related to big data such as the deployment and application of big data environment, big data processing and application, and big data analysis and application. Based on project cases, the competition stresses the integration of theories into practical operations to comprehensively assess the participants' ability in applying big data technology.
The competition is led by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and jointly organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Communication Industry Association and Changzhou College of Information Technology. A total of 50 teams from all regions of the province participated in the competition, generating two first prizes, three second prizes and five third prizes in the student group, and three first prizes, seven second prizes and ten third prizes in the staff group. According to the rules of the provincial first-class skills competition, the top 6 participants in the staff group will be awarded the title of Jiangsu Technical Expert under the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. The competition is an important part of the 4th Jiangsu Provincial Technical Talent Competition, and an important measure to carry forward the craftsman spirit, promote the building of skilled personnel and broaden the growth channel of technical personnel in our province.
