Students and Teachers from NJCIT's School of Digital Arts Win Excellent Work Award and Finalist Award in IPBP 2021 International Poster Biennale for Peace Nanjing

The IPBP 2021 International Poster Biennale for Peace Nanjing, sponsored by the Jiangsu International Communication Association and Nanjing International Communication Association, was launched on August 13, 2021, with the theme of Shared Community. It collects works from designers, professional teachers and students, artists and design institutions all over the world. A total of 7,173 valid items (groups) of works were collected from 32 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Germany, France, Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, Poland, Greece, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Denmark, Israel, Iran and Slovenia.

The final reviewers of this year's competition include Song Xiewei, Member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and Dean of the School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts; Bi Xuefeng, Member of AGI and Dean of School of Design, China Academy of Art; Zhao Jian, Member of AGI and Professor of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University; Cao Fang, Member of AGI and Professor of School of Design, Nanjing University of the Arts; Zhao Qing, Member of AGI and Deputy Director of Book Design Art Committee of the Publishers Association of China. The five reviewers made the final decision on the shortlisted works in the preliminary review. Through several rounds of strict voting and intense discussions, 182 items (groups) of outstanding works and 12 items (groups) of award-winning works were selected based on the criteria of thematic expression and technical presentation.

Ji Liang's Depressed City (Shangcheng in pinyin) and Li Yuan's WE WANT PEACE won the Outstanding Work Award, and Wang Yuanyuan's Flying Out of the Birdcage and Liu Xiaoli's Seeking Common Ground while Preserving Differences won the Finalist Award.

The college competition organized by the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Publicity Department and the CCYL Committee has contributed greatly to our achievements made in this competition. It is another successful attempt of the School of Digital Arts in promoting learning through competition, carrying out multi-level skills competition training, and integrating class with competition, which plays an important role in improving the quality of talent training and level of professional building.
