On the afternoon of July 9, NJCIT held an online lecture on Chinese + Vocational Skills for Northeast Thailand from Conference Room B416 in the Administration Building. The heads of the two high-level professional groups gave the lecture online for teachers at vocational colleges in 22 provinces of Thailand. It is the first event under the framework of the cooperation agreement recently concluded by and between the Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand and the Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen University. It gained great support from Chinese Plus and Confucius Institutes/Classrooms in Thailand.
The heads of the two professional groups of NJCIT illustrated the achievements in teaching material design, teaching team building, integration of production and education, standard development, vocational education influence, national platform resources, etc., as well as the exchanges with Thailand with detailed data and vivid pictures.
Chen Ji, a member of the Occupational Standards Review Bureau of the Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, said that the lecture will inspire teachers of the Chinese language at vocational colleges in northeastern Thailand. Wang Jinhong, chairman of Chinese Plus, expressed the willingness to deepen cooperation with the Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand and the Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen University, give play to the role of the platform, introduce China’s high-quality vocational education resources to Thailand, and create an ecological sphere for education on Chinese + Vocational Skills with a complete chain, so as to promote the development of vocational education in Thailand and the internationalization of vocational education in China.
Peng[1231] Piqi, a teacher at Surin Vocational College in Thailand, said: I learned a lot from the lecture. These schools are excellent, and they talked about the areas to be developed economically in Thailand with great prospects. I will tell my students what I have learned. I hope they will have the opportunity to study in China, and I want to see more cooperation and exchanges between vocational colleges in China and Thailand.
The lecture on Chinese + Vocational Skills for northeastern Thailand tried to connect all parties in China and Thailand through vocational education, and used the Chinese + Skills training to constantly empower teachers and students at vocational colleges in Thailand. It helped teachers and students at vocational colleges in Thailand to learn more about NJCIT, and strengthen the interaction and communication between vocational colleges of both sides.
