The 2nd Member Congress of the International Collaborations Committee of Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education (ICC CSTVE) was held on December 27. The Congress was attended and addressed by Lu Xin, President of CSTVE and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education (MOE), Wu Zhiqiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Tongji University, Liu Jin, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of MOE and Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of MOE, Liu Jiantong, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of CSTVE, and Sun Shanxue, Vice President of CSTVE. The representatives of the College attended the Congress online.
Jiang Feng from Shanghai International Studies University and Wang Danzhong, Secretary of CPC Committee of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, were elected as the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Second International Collaborations Committee, Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education (ICC CSTVE) respectively.
According to its work report for the next five years, the ICC CSTVE will lead the compilation of reports on the global vocational education developments and trends and offer consulting services to local governments, schools, and industries. It plans to build platforms for international collaboration and communication and create multi-level exchange mechanisms by holding annual seminars on trends in vocational education. Besides, ICC CSTVE will improve vocational colleges' voices in the international arena and develop international professional certifications, bilingual curriculum construction, and international talent training.
Lu Xin delivered a keynote speech entitled Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind: Historical Responsibility of High-quality Modern Vocational Education. He said ICC CSTVE should step up efforts to promote international communication and cooperation on vocational education, help build a community of skills with a shared future for mankind, and practically support the digital transformation in global industries.
