Characteristics and Advantages

“Quality improvement is a way torejuvenate China and make it more powerful. Quality reflects a country's comprehensive strength, the core competitiveness of its enterprises and industries, and also the level of its civilization”. The Quality Development Outline (2011-2020) issued by the State Council on February 6, 2012, set the goal of making China a “Great Power of Quality”. The specialty of Quality Management and Certification was established in the context of building a “Great Power of Quality” and under the guidance of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the P. R. C, China Certification and Accreditation Association and China Quality Certification Center.

In December 2019, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance issued the list for the Plan to Construct High-level Higher Vocational Colleges and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics. 56 higher vocational colleges were selected for high-quality school construction, including Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology and the specialty group of “Electronic Product Quality Inspection”. “Quality Management and Certification” is one of the majors in the specialty group.

The major has close cooperation in specialty construction, curriculum development, part-time teachers, training lectures, graduate employment and other aspects with Jiangsu Institute of Metrology, CQC-Trusted (Jiangsu) Testing Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Aerospace Shenhe Technology Co., Ltd. and other enterprises.
