Characteristics and Advantages

The major of Photovoltaic Power Generation Technology and Application is dedicated to cultivating inter-disciplinary technical talents who can be engaged in the construction and installation, operation and maintenance, and quality inspection of photovoltaic power generation systems. The specialty construction has been solidly promoted with remarkable achievements. In 2011, the major was selected as the Key Construction Specialty supported by Central government funds. In 2013, a provincial training base for new energy technology and testing was established. Besides, the major was selected as the production-education integration project of the National Development and Reform Commission in 2016, as Jiangsu Provincial High-quality Backbone Construction Specialty in 2017, and as the specialty group for the “Plan for the Construction of High-level Higher Vocational Colleges and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics” in 2019. The students won two first prizes and one third prize in the Design and Implementation of Photovoltaic Electronic Engineering event of the National Vocational Colleges Skills Competition.

In-depth Cooperative Enterprises

The major has cooperated with Zhejiang Rhea Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in the pilot work of the 1+X Certificate System and the training and certification of 1+X Vocational Skills Rating Certificate of “photovoltaic power station operation and maintenance”. In August 2020, we undertook the teacher training for photovoltaic power station operation and maintenance 1+X Vocational Skills Rating Certificate organized by the certification organization. Five teachers of the major participated in the training and all obtained the trainer qualification. The school has cooperated with Zhejiang Rhea Energy Technology Co., Ltd. to build the photovoltaic power station operation and maintenance training room, and it has become a pilot college of “photovoltaic power station operation and maintenance” 1+X Vocational Skills Rating, which entitles it to carry out assessment and certification for the public.
