Characteristics and Advantages

The major of Electronic Information Engineering Technology originated from the Radio Technology major set when the college was founded and is one of the traditional dominant majors of the college. After long-term development, the major has achieved fruitful results and strong influence in the cultivation of teaching staff, and the construction of courses, teaching materials and training conditions.

In 2006, the major was selected as Jiangsu Provincial Brand Specialty (recognized by Jiangsu Education Department in 2010). In 2008, it was rated as Jiangsu Provincial Key Construction Specialty of Demonstrative Higher Vocational Colleges. Since 2013, it cooperated with Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications to implement the “3+2” phased vocational and undergraduate education. In 2015, it was approved as a Class C project of the first phase project of Jiangsu Provincial Brand Specialty Construction. In 2018, the major became the Construction Specialty of Jiangsu Provincial high-level higher vocational colleges.

The development achievement of the major: “the Construction and Practice of ‘Three Levels and Double Combination’ Innovation Ability Training System for Electronic Information Major in Higher Vocational Colleges” won the second prize of Jiangsu Provincial Teaching Achievements in 2013; “Research and Practice of Electronic Information Specialty Group Construction in Higher Vocational Colleges Based on Production Process” won the second prize of Jiangsu Provincial Teaching Achievements in 2017.

In-depth Cooperative Enterprises

Over the past 60 years, the major has trained more than 30,000 talents for the industry, especially a large number of first-line backbone staff for national military enterprises. At present, it is still the main supply base of first-line technicians for radar and military communication equipment manufacturers in Jiangsu province, such as China Electronics Technology Group Corporation 14th Research Institute and 55th Research Institute, and Nanjing Changjiang Machinery Group Co., Ltd.

Well-known enterprises such as China Electronics Technology Group Corporation 14th Research Institute and 55th Research Institute, China Quality Certification Center and SUMEC Group Corporation actively cooperated with the major and successively set up enterprise order classes such as Electronics Class and Zijinrongchang Class to hire in advance students of this major. In recent years, the employment rate of the graduates of this major was over 98%, and they are highly rated for their professional skills and comprehensive quality by employers.

Admission

Admission starts from March 1^st to June 30^th every year. NJCIT will select and recruit outstanding applicants before August 15^th and deliver Admission Notice to qualified applicants.
