NJCIT held the 2026 Summer Work Seminar

To systematically plan a new pattern for the high-quality development of NJCIT and accurately deploy the key tasks for the new semester. From August 27 to 28, NJCIT held the 2026 Summer Work Seminar in the lecture hall of the Administration Building. NJCIT's leadership team, all middle-level cadres, section-level staff, program directors, and heads of teaching and research offices attended the meeting.

At the meeting, President Zhao Xiangjun delivered a thematic report titled Top-Level Planning and Practical Implementation of NJCIT's Development. Focusing on six dimensions - overall approach, international vision, policy context, systems thinking, ontological planning, and closed-loop management - he systematically interpreted the work ideas and measures for formulating and implementing NJCIT's development plan. He emphasized the need to look at education from beyond education and view vocational education from beyond vocational education, to consciously cultivate an international vision, establish holistic thinking, and uphold a systems approach. He called for practicing a correct view of political performance, strengthening process management, and steering development in the right direction, while adhering to integrity and innovation, taking solid responsibility in practice, and daring to break through bottlenecks, so as to fully promote the high-quality development of all undertakings of NJCIT.

Standing on the basis of their respective areas of responsibility, Deputy Party Secretary Qian Qunlei, Party Committee Member and Vice President Du Qingbo, Party Committee Member and Vice President Li Yan, and Party Committee Member and Vice President Sun Gang each delivered a thematic report on Pooling Efforts for Collaborative Education and Implementing 'Health First' - Building a Three-Dimensional Collaborative Education System of 'Strengthening the Body, Nurturing the Mind, and Enriching Literacy', How Program Directors Can Effectively Conduct Program Analysis, Honoring Contracts and Strictly Controlling Risks to Standardize Procurement Contract Management, and Strengthening Coordination and Changing Mindsets to Promote Employment through Diverse Collaboration respectively.

During the departmental exchange session, He Miao, Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence, Ma Yongbing, Dean of the School of Inspection and Testing, Gu Zhenfei, Director of the Human Resources Department, and Zhu Bin, Director of the Party Committee Office and President's Office, delivered thematic briefings in turn. They discussed issues based on their positions and sought breakthroughs in light of the current situation, providing strong conceptual support for NJCIT's refined governance and high-quality development. During the centralized reporting and exchange session, each group reported its discussion outcomes in turn.

Party Secretary Kong Jie delivered a concluding speech. He fully affirmed the effectiveness of this summer seminar and pointed out that this meeting was both a mobilization meeting to unify thinking and build consensus and a deployment meeting to review and summarize the past and plan for the start of the new phase. After reviewing the achievements and completion of key tasks in the first half of the year and analyzing the current situation of vocational education development faced by NJCIT, the key tasks for the second half of the year were deployed. Kong Jie pointed out that NJCIT is currently at a critical stage where opportunities and challenges coexist and transformation and tackling tough issues proceed in parallel, and must proactively seek change, seize the window of opportunity to gain the initiative, and achieve leaps forward by resolving difficult problems. It is necessary to seize policy opportunities such as the national-level 15th Five-Year plan and the AI Plus Education action plan, accurately grasp the competitive landscape of vocational colleges across the province, and effectively enhance the sense of urgency in running the school. In the new semester, we must focus on key tasks, strive for a full sprint, and solidly carry out work such as the preparation of the 15th Five-Year plan, readiness for the evaluation of school-running capability, connotation quality development, improvement of governance systems and governance capacity, implementation and effectiveness of comprehensive personnel reform, building a high-caliber cadre team, strengthening work style, consolidating the results of study and education on a correct view of political achievements, and reinforcing campus safety defenses, so as to push the high-quality development of NJCIT to a new level.

The convening of this summer work seminar has further clarified NJCIT’s development ideas, specified work priorities, and built up collective synergy, thereby laying a solid ideological foundation and strengthening the working base for the orderly and efficient advancement of all tasks in the new semester.
