

Recently, the two competitions, Embedded System Application Development and Intelligent Electronic Product Design and Development, in the Electronics, Electrical and Integrated Circuits track of the 2026 Jiangsu Vocational College Skills Competition successfully concluded. Among them, the Embedded System Application Development competition was held from April 15 to 17 at Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology, and the Intelligent Electronic Product Design and Development competition was held from April 17 to 19 at Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Information Technology. The two teams sent by the School of Electronic Information of NJCIT delivered outstanding performances and both won first prize (Student Group). Among them, the Intelligent Electronic Product Design and Development team obtained the qualification to advance to the selection for the national competition, fully demonstrating the effectiveness of NJCIT's vocational education in talent cultivation.
In this competition, the School of Electronic Information of NJCIT carefully formed two teams, made every effort in preparation, and strove to excel. The team composed of students Liu Jialin, Ye Jiale, and Xiong Junqiang, under the guidance of teachers Xing Zhi and Ma Yujuan, took part in the Embedded System Application Development competition; The team composed of students Zhang Enyuan, Xu Haipeng, and Wu Guanlin, under the guidance of teachers Duan Weijia and Wang Cong, competed in the Intelligent Electronic Product Design and Development competition. In the competition, the two teams remained calm and composed and cooperated seamlessly. Relying on solid theoretical foundations, proficient hands-on skills, and efficient teamwork, they responded confidently to various challenges in the events, fully demonstrating NJCIT's students' strong professional competence, rigorous academic attitude, and high-spirited competitive style, and ultimately lived up to expectations by both winning first prize.
These excellent results could not have been achieved without the great importance attached by NJCIT and the scientific training provided by the coaching teams. During the preparation period, Vice Dean Wei Xin of the School of Electronic Information visited the training sites many times, learned in detail about the preparation progress and technical difficulties, and coordinated resources to create favorable conditions. To ensure the quality of preparation, the School carefully built a coaching team, selected young and middle-aged backbone teachers such as Xing Zhi and Duan Weijia as head coaches, and specially invited two senior professional teachers, Li Bin and Gu Bin, as special advisors, thus forming a coaching echelon that combines the strengths of senior, middle-aged, and young teachers. In response to the two core modules of the competition, skills operation and presentation and explanation, the coaching team adopted precise measures and used a training model of project-driven, task-oriented, and progressively tiered to carry out systematic modular intensive training and multiple rounds of simulated actual competitions for the contestants, comprehensively improving their hands-on skills and ability to respond to changing situations. At the same time, during the training process, the team simultaneously integrated the cultivation of comprehensive abilities such as technical documentation writing, defense and presentation skills, and awareness of engineering norms, and implemented the integrated post, course, competition, and certificate talent cultivation concept throughout the entire preparation process, laying a solid foundation for the contestants to stand out in the competition.
Winning double first prizes this time is the comprehensive result of the strong attention and overall planning of NJCIT's Party committee, the coordinated promotion and strengthened resource support by the Academic Affairs Office, and the solid implementation and targeted measures of the School of Electronic Information. It fully demonstrates NJCIT's sense of responsibility and educational effectiveness in deepening vocational education reform, implementing the Building China into a Country Strong in Skills strategy, and serving the development of regional industrial chains.
