To thoroughly implement the requirements for the high-quality development of modern vocational education and broaden employment channels for graduates, Sun Gang, a member of NJCIT's Party Committee and Vice President, led a team to Suzhou for research and exchange from April 14 to 15. He was accompanied by heads of the Domestic Exchange and Cooperation Office ▪ Employment Office and relevant secondary schools.
On the first stop of the visit, Vice President Sun Gang and his delegation arrived at Suzhou Green-Control Transmission Technology Co., Ltd. The team visited the company's product exhibition hall, testing laboratory, and production line, gaining a detailed understanding of the company's technological advantages and development plans in related fields, as well as its specific needs for various skilled talents in current technology R&D and production operations. The two sides fully communicated on matters related to talent cultivation, such as student internships and practical training for teachers, and reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation.
Subsequently, the visiting team went to the Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone to hold a special symposium with the Zone's Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and key enterprises including Luxsan Technology, Compal Information, Nanya Electronic, Huatian Technology, and Naichuang Technology. Director He Weiying of the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone highly affirmed NJCIT's long-term commitment to serving the region and its industries, and its success in providing a large number of high-quality technical and skilled talents for Kunshan's pillar industries such as electronic information and intelligent manufacturing. She provided a detailed report on the high-quality development trend of regional industries, policies for attracting and cultivating talent, and the employment needs of key enterprises, and offered guiding opinions on university-local government collaborative education and precise talent delivery. During the symposium, Deputy Director Li Feng, on behalf of the Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone, presented NJCIT with the 2025 Outstanding Achievement Award for school-enterprise cooperation. Vice President Sun Gang stated that this honor is a full recognition of NJCIT's school-enterprise cooperation efforts and a vivid testament to the joint cultivation of talent by the government and the university. NJCIT will take this award as an opportunity to anchor the development needs of regional industries, further deepen strategic cooperation with the Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone and various enterprises, optimize the talent cultivation system, and promote the synchronized and seamless connection between talent cultivation and industrial needs. The HR managers of each enterprise, based on their own development plans, provided detailed introductions to their job requirements, talent cultivation standards, and career development paths, and all expressed a strong desire to deepen order-based training, jointly build practical training platforms, and collaboratively promote graduate employment with NJCIT.
On April 15, the visiting team went to Changshu Aiqingzhiyin Technology Co., Ltd. to gain an in-depth understanding of the company's development and talent gaps in emerging fields such as smart audio and IoT terminals. The two sides communicated and exchanged ideas on talent cultivation for emerging industries and student employment and internships, exploring possibilities for cooperation in areas such as the development of new academic programs and curriculum optimization, which opened up new paths for NJCIT to connect with emerging industries.
This visit is an important measure for our university to thoroughly implement the special action of Visiting Enterprises to Expand Job Opportunities and Promote Employment. In the next step, NJCIT will continue to deepen all-round cooperation with the governments and enterprises of the three locations, optimize the layout of academic programs, innovate cultivation models, enhance the quality of talent cultivation and social service capabilities, and contribute to the high-quality development of regional industries to achieve a win-win situation for NJCIT, local governments, and enterprises.
