Characteristics and Advantages
Focusing on the teaching of basic theoretical knowledge and skills of digital media arts and the development of interactive design, special effects and production, three-dimensional animation and dynamic display design, this major aims at cultivating high-quality applied talents who can adapt to the social and industrial development and work at the first-line of production and management. This major also vigorously promotes the research on practical interactive media and its teaching, with many featured projects such as architectural travel animation and digital preservation and demonstration of cultural heritage, getting good results in relevant industry competitions.
In-depth Cooperative Enterprises
Shanghai T&W International Production Group is a large-scale professional video advertising production company in China with a great reputation and strong strength. It has 5,500 square meters of office space, including 1,500 square meters of photo studios and supporting facilities. Its subsidiaries include T&W Production, Triangle Film, and Greatfun CG. It has four branches in Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei and Paris, respectively. After two students, Zhu Junwei and Gao Mingjie, from the movie animation studio of the School of Digital Arts, won prizes in the enterprise proposition category (T&W International Production Group) of the Sixth National College Digital Art&Design Awards in 2018, the Group has established an active school-enterprise cooperative relation with our school. Many students from the School of Digital Arts got the opportunities to have internships in Shanghai T&W International Production Group.
Turing AI Institute of Nanjing was jointly established by Tsinghua University and Nanjing Municipal Government in April 2018. The Institute is committed to providing public technology services through industry-university-research cooperation, gathering and cultivating AI talents with interdisciplinary ability, and promoting the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. The School of Digital Arts and Turing AI Institute of Nanjing, together with Nanjing Museum, jointly carried out the intelligent product innovative training. With the help of highly-skilled enterprise talents, students have gained more space to develop their added values, and can better adapt to industry requirements and find high-quality jobs.
To improve the quality of personnel trained and further promote school-enterprise cooperation, the School of Digital Arts and Yiking Information Technology of Nanjing Co., Ltd. have carried out the school-enterprise cooperation order class project. Yiking Information Technology of Nanjing Co., Ltd., established in 2015, is a national high-tech enterprise with high-level product innovation and production capacity. The school-enterprise cooperation not only improved the technical merits of students of related majors, deepened their understanding of the industry and familiarize them with the process of game production, but also served to explore and innovate a new student education and training mode. Meanwhile, it has assisted the graduates to be more competent for professional and technical work.
Admission
Admission starts from March 1st to June 30th every year. NJCIT will select and recruit outstanding applicants before August 15th and deliver Admission Notice to qualified applicants.
