 Overview: School of Intelligent Manufacturing

The School of Intelligent Manufacturing has 8 specialties including Mechatronics, Industrial Robots, Electrical Automation, Intelligent Control Technology, Numerical Control Technology, Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Mold Design and Manufacturing, Electronic Manufacturing Technology and Equipment, forming a specialty group that features in serving the intelligent manufacturing of electronic information products, which is a specialty group under key construction of higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province. Our school has won 1 National Teaching Achievement Award, 4 Jiangsu Teaching Achievement Awards, and 5 provincial-level and above professional engineering projects including Jiangsu Brand Specialty.

Our school currently has 70 faculty and staff. Among the 52 full-time teachers, 84.6% of them have a master's degree or above, including 6 doctors; 61.5% of them have senior professional titles, and 6 of them are senior teachers.

The whole teaching team is an Excellent Teaching Team with high quality standards in Jiangsu Province. There's 1 National Famous Teaching Master, 1 National Outstanding Teacher, 1 provincial Young and Middle-aged Expert with “Outstanding Contribution”, 2 provincial talents of “333 Talent Project”, 2 provincial Young and Middle-aged Academic Leaders, and 4 provincial Outstanding Young Backbone Teachers.

The teaching team has a high level of technical skills and established a Jiangsu Skill Master Studio. There are 2 National Technical Experts, 1 winner of provincial May 1st Labor Medal, 3 provincial Technical Experts, 2 Innovation Experts, and 1 Jiangsu Craftsman. “Double-qualified” teachers account for 100%.

Our school has 1 national excellent resource sharing course, 4 provincial excellent (online open courses) courses, 6 national planning textbooks, and 6 provincial key (quality) textbooks; there have been 20 teachers that won the provincial Teaching Ability Competitions and Skills Competition awards, 149 authorized patents in the past three years, including 51 invention patents; we have undertaken 1 project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 8 provincial and ministerial teaching and scientific research projects; the “Four technical services” have an average annual revenue of more than 2 million yuan.

Our school collaborated with Nanjing Estun Group to build the “Estun Robot Academy”, and the “Industrial Robot 4S Center” was selected as a training platform for the deep integration of production and education in Jiangsu Province, established the Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Training Center with Siemens, and built the FANUC Industrial Robot Training Center with Shanghai-FANUC. The college training base is a national electrical, electronics and automation training base, Jiangsu advanced manufacturing technology training base, Jiangsu industrial talent training demonstration base, vocational skill appraisal station of the machinery industry, and the regional leading unit of industrial robot operation and maintenance 1+X professional skill level certification.

In recent years, students have won more than 100 awards in skill competitions at or above provincial level, including 1 gold medal in the national “Challenge Cup” and 8 awards in national skills competitions. Employers are 100% satisfied with graduates.
