The Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation specialty belongs to the specialty group under key construction of “High-level Higher Vocational Colleges in Jiangsu Province”. We conduct school-enterprise cooperation with large enterprises and rely on the Jiangsu Advanced Manufacturing Technology Experimental Training Base to cultivate high-quality technical skills talents who have a sense of social responsibility and professionalism, a sense of standardization and innovative thinking, a willingness to enterprising, the ability to cooperate, and the ability to apply information technology, who are oriented to mechanical engineering technicians, mechanical cold processing personnel, tooling tool manufacturers and other occupational groups in the general equipment manufacturing and special equipment manufacturing, and who can engage in mechanical processing operations, mechanical parts manufacturing, tooling design, mechanical and electrical equipment installation and debugging, production management, etc.

We provide an excellent teaching environment, advanced training equipment and have grown into an engineering training base integrating teaching, scientific research and production. We can carry out more than 20 training projects such as lathe training, fitter training, special processing training, heat treatment training, part quality inspection, mold disassembly and surveying and mapping, numerical control car training, numerical control milling training, CAM processing training, and Pro-e software application training NX software application training, CIMATRON software application training, Mastercam application training, flexible processing training, 3D scanning and 3D printing training.

The ability of the professional teachers has been continuously enhanced. There are many teachers with titles such as National Technical Experts and Jiangsu Technical Experts. They have participated in the teaching competition organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and have won many awards. They have guided students to participate in skills competitions and won many awards. In recent years, we have built 1 national professional teaching resource library construction course, 1 national excellent online open course, 1 university MOOC excellent online course, and 8 campus excellent core course resource libraries.

In-depth Cooperative Enterprises

In cooperation with Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. and Siemens Berlin Institute of Technology, 8 teachers with a total of 18 people went to Germany for training and obtained trainer qualifications. We cooperated with Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. to build a Siemens Automation Technology Training Center, with a total investment of 15 million yuan. Cooperating with Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. Training Center, we carried out S7-1200 and S7-1500 campus certification training as a Siemens PC campus training authorization point and established a digital twin laboratory to cooperate in the construction of digital factories to help intelligent manufacturing.

We established an NX software training center with Siemens, which can conduct training and certification of NX software junior engineers.
