Characteristics and Advantages

The Electronic Manufacturing Technology and Equipment specialty is the first one to be set up in domestic higher vocational colleges which is based on the electronic information manufacturing industry, closely follows the rapid development of electronic assembly technology, and meets the needs of industry talents.

In 2006, it was listed as a special major of Jiangsu Department of Information Industry; in 2010, it was listed as a special major of higher education institutions in Jiangsu Province; in 2011, it was listed as a key construction major of higher vocational schools supported by the central government.

Oriented to the regional electronic information manufacturing industry, based on the most advanced technology and equipment in electronic assembly technology, and through collaborative innovation of “government, administration, school and enterprise”, the specialty aims to cultivate high-quality technical skills talents to meet the industry's demand for talents. At the same time, we take advantage of the specialty’s own advantages and rely on the platform built by the government to develop social services for the industry.

Norautron Suzhou Co., Ltd is a Norwegian manufacturer of electronic products with world-leading technology. It is a foreign-funded enterprise with an all-round development integrating research, design, production and service. The company's manufacturing process covers patching, wave soldering, selective soldering, testing, cleaning, coating, potting, cable, assembly, dust-free assembly and cabinet assembly.

The two parties have carried out a full range of cooperation. The main contents of the cooperation are: corporate technical backbones offer professional employment-related lectures for school students; the school and enterprise jointly construct courses and edit textbooks; provide practice opportunities for professional teachers in the company; provide internships and employment opportunities for professional students, and professional teachers improve training materials for the company according to its needs.
