The Mold Design and Manufacturing specialty is affiliated to the specialty cluster under key construction of “High-level Higher Vocational Colleges in Jiangsu Province”, aiming to serve “China Intelligent Manufacturing”. Cooperating with China Die & Mould Industry Association, we're a training base for Chinese mold talents and a skill appraisal unit for the machinery industry. The Mold Design and Manufacturing specialty is listed as one of the specialties that are in short supply in China. It mainly teaches theories and design processing skills related to computer aided product structure design as well as mold design and manufacturing. Graduates mainly seek for employment in high-end manufacturing in economically developed regions, occupied in mold design and manufacturing, product forming and control, numerical control programming, mechanical product measurement and inspection, project management and other positions.
We're equipped with an advanced experimental training base that has been built into a teaching factory integrating teaching, scientific research and production. In addition to more than 20 basic mechanical training projects, such as general lathe training, fitter training, special machining training, heat treatment training, parts quality inspection numerical control car training, numerical control milling training, CAM processing training, Pro-e software application training, NX software application training, CIMATRON software application training, Mastercam application training, flexible processing training, 3D scanning and 3D printing training, etc., the teaching factory can carry out mold disassembly and surveying, mold design and mold flow analysis, mold manufacturing and debugging and other professional production training on mold design and manufacturing.
The ability of the professional teachers has been continuously enhanced. There are many dual-qualified backbone teachers with a master's degree or above. The teachers have won many awards in the teaching competition organized by the Education Department of Jiangsu Province. They have guided students to participate in skill competitions and won many awards. In recent years, we have built 1 national professional teaching resource library construction course, 1 national excellent online open course, 1 university MOOC excellent online course, and 8 campus excellent core course resource libraries.

We cooperated with China Die & Mould Industry Association, Phoenix Contact, Wujiang Dading Precision Mould Co., Ltd., Jubao Precision Machining (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., Kunshan Fengshi Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. and other companies to develop school-enterprise cooperation which has cultivated many high-quality technical skills talents for the mold industry.
We established an NX software training center with Siemens, which can conduct training and certification of NX software junior engineers.
